Last week I ordered a brand new computer its beening built by ibuypower. How long should it last? Will it ever need to be replaced? Ill be doing lots of video encoding, editing videos, capture videos and playing games on it.
Will me doing all those stuff decrease the liquid cooling system? The reason why i got the cooling system is cause my old deskop gets so much warm air blowing from it. Its using a basic intel heatsink. Cpu is amd fx I never had a cpu cooling system so its all new to me. Last edited by Wizard23; 17th May at It's a closed system and ideally the liquid won't get out. It really shouldn't bother you.
In my experience so far these are more noteworthy: after its specified lifetime the pump is the first to malfunction constant wide temperature swings due to big differences in CPU utilization may have the tendency to loosen the screws that bolt this pump to the CPU dust bunnies collect on the radiator fins and prevent heat dissipation.
I use a couple of Corsair liquid cooling systems. They use common auto antifreeze and water. I set mine up to draw filtered air from inside the PC to keep from getting dust in the radiator core and plugging it.
You could also add an external filter if you draw outside air. Just make sure you clean it occasionally. Inside air isn't as efficient for cooling, but I have two big mm intake fans with filters at the front of the PC and the filters are much easier to clean than the radiator.
I also plug the cooling pump into a power fan socket on the PC motherboard. That's a fan socket that isn't speed controlled. Matt Honorable. Jan 6, 0 10, 1. Do you think it will be safe to use? I have no experience with liquid coolers but watched a video saying they can leak and the pumps only last 2 years before it dies. Is there any way to test it before I use it or should I just avoid it completely? Mr Kagouris Dignified. Sep 7, 3, 2 15, 1, Yes, AIOs leak.
Also, custom loops leak. It can happen, doesn't mean it will happen. Although the assessment of the pump is fairly accurate as the ones used in AIOs are pretty cheap. It will die eventually whether in 2 years or 10 depends on various factors , but until then you get decent cooling. Blas Distinguished. May 18, 6 19, It's a great cooler performance-wise, there's practically no chance that it will leak provided you treat it nicely, which basically means not cutting the tubing or pulling the tubes like a madman , and the pumps last for years mine have been working almost non-stop for the past 6 years, not a single problem.
There are many closed liquid cooling kits for CPUs, GPUs and even more exotic parts, you can imagine they are a safe option, otherwise no one would risk using them. Ok, thanks. Are there any warning signs I could look out for then to try and spot it before it brakes if at all?
There aren't really any definite warning signs. If the pump breaks you'll know because it'll stop making noise and your temps will rise. Sometimes they start making strange noises before they break. So i got a hold of Customer support, with SkyTech, asked if i have too change the water, cuz i know next to nothing on how to do that, they said don't have to change it, they Last about 5-Years, and also depends on how well you take care of your PC, treat it good and t will give you no problems, keep it in good Maintenance, just like a car.
Try not to mess with the Looped watercooler, only i Emergency. But you know from Wt people who sold me the My Gaming PC, they said 5 years, i would to be safe in years, by then i am sure you saved up for a new one. Also if your not going to be using the PC, for a while like an hour, just power it down. You know some people like leaving their systems on just running for hours, that's a NO, NO just to keep your coolant healthy and your PC as well.

First, the coolant goes toward the water blocks to gather heat from your computer component. Then, it circles back around to the radiator to get cooled down so that it can then return to capture more heat. Rinse and repeat. This article is all about the benefits of liquid cooling, but there is one small, yet important, risk you should be aware of: water leaks.
Of course, as long as you thoroughly test your setup especially if it is custom and perform semi-annual inspections, you should be fine.
The risk is minuscule compared to the efficacy of the procedure. If you find the following benefits mentioned in the next section appealing, then the answer to this will most likely be yes. When you overclock you are pushing your processor or graphics card to run over its normal clock speeds. More speed requires more power all of which gives off more heat. In other words, overclocking makes your components perform better, but also hotter. Some AIO coolers and kits can handle basic to medium overclocking.
However, advanced users will prefer to invest in a custom water cooling system just to push their overclocks to the limit. Air cooling solutions take up far more real estate than tubes and water blocks.
After all, good things come in small packages, right? If you live somewhere with higher ambient temperatures, this could be a real problem. This last benefit is a subjective one, for sure; however, liquid cooling solutions look nice.
This is especially true because many of them come with flashy RGB lights nowadays. Additional comments optional. You can offer your link to a page which is relevant to the topic of this post. May 20, August 12, June 21, April 24, May 28,
