Which suv is best

Cars like T roc are much much better in terms of build quality. XUV is just for people who need a car which has diesel engine and is big and bulky doesn't matter even if it's made of cardboard. Very disappointed with what Mahindra has done. I'm not someone who goes for the long list of unnecessary features when they've compromised on the build quality and driving dynamics. I don't want to risk my family's life with this car.

People who have been driving German cars regularly while absolutely hate this car. Creta 1. The buying experience was good and actually I got the car within one week of booking.

The engine 1. The look of the Creta is superb it's very bold , which makes all the Indians love it and plus makes it more bigger. The maintenance of this car is pretty cheap ,my last 4th paid service costed me around rs from the Hyundai authorized service center. Thank you! Very nice car just go for it. Good stylish car, it's gives royal look, very good car.

This is my favorite car, I like this car awesome car, but there are so many variants, so little bit confusion while buying car. Beast car. View Creta Images. What are the popular suv cars? Volvo offers two different turbocharged four-cylinders: The hp T4 engine comes with front-wheel drive, and the more powerful hp T5 gets all-wheel drive as standard.

Inside, buyers will find a thoughtfully designed cabin complete with plenty of storage cubbies and a smattering of high-tech features. All X1s come with the a hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which provides considerable pep and reasonable fuel economy. On a twisty road, the ute comes alive and delivers much of the same crisp handling and ride refinement that the BMW brand is known for.

Inside, the cabin is spacious for four adults, and the large cargo area will swallow suitcases, groceries, and bulky items with ease. A few down-market materials and a pair of bar-stool-shaped front seats slightly dull the X1's shine, though. For a sportier compact SUV wearing the roundel, check out the mechanically similar X2 , which we review separately.

If the BMW X2 looks like a chopped-roof version of the X1 SUV , that's because it is—but this little crossover dials in a bit more aggression to the driving dynamics. The standard engine is the same hp turbocharged four-cylinder that's in the X1, but the X2's slightly sharper handling makes it more fun to wield on a twisty road. Unlike on the X1, BMW offers the X2 with a hp four-pot, which turns it into a fire-breathing performance machine. The X2's racier bodywork and faster roofline do come with some compromises, though: Interior space is more limited here for both people and cargo.

But those crossover shoppers who value performance above all else will find the X2 more desirable than its squarer sibling. Not only does it boast beautifully sculpted bodywork, its interior is just as interesting to the eyes. Of course, Mazda has shown us that its attention to detail is more than skin-deep, with thoughtful ergonomics and engaging driving dynamics. Compared with its predominantly dull competitors, the CX-5 is delightfully athletic and equally refined.

While the standard four-cylinder engine lacks the punch of the available turbo-four, both pair with a highly proficient automatic transmission and are more fuel efficient than their EPA ratings suggest. Despite a smaller cargo area than its key competitors, the CX-5 shines brighter than all its classmates and even some more-expensive alternatives, making it a shoo-in for our 10Best list.

The compact SUV segment is full of good options, but one of our favorites is the Volkswagen Tiguan , which is one of the most well-rounded choices. It's handsomely styled, well-equipped, and practical. All models come with the same hp four-cylinder engine, which is admittedly a little poky.

While the Tiguan does offer some of the same sharp driving dynamics that endears us to majority of the Volkswagen lineup , its practicality is really what makes it worth buying. The two-row Honda provides an attractive and spacious cabin bolstered by bountiful storage solutions that are perfect for pack rats and road trips. While neither of its four-cylinder powertrains—one turbocharged, one hybrid—are especially quick, both have notable fuel-economy ratings.

Compared with the Mazda CX-5 and Volkswagen Tiguan , the CR-V is less entertaining from behind the wheel, but it has a pleasant ride and never feels uncoordinated. It also comes equipped with myriad active-safety features and offers all manner of popular technology. From spartan to swanky to outdoorsy, the Toyota RAV4 offers something for almost everyone.

The base LE covers the economical end of the spectrum while the well-equipped Limited and TRD Off-Road models offer impressive amounts of equipment aimed at two very different types of buyers.

No matter which trim you choose, the RAV4 comes with a 2. The RAV4's square-jawed looks are inspired by the 4Runner SUV and Tacoma pickup truck , but its car-based construction delivers a smoother ride than either of those trucks.

Interior accommodations are spacious and the materials chosen are durable, but those buyers seeking modern-day convenience features such as power-adjustable seats, push-button start, and blind-spot monitoring will want to avoid the entry-level model.

Full-electric and hybrid powertrains continue to spread rapidly throughout the automotive industry, so it's no surprise that hybrid-car specialist Toyota offers a RAV4 Hybrid and plug-in hybrid RAV4 called the Prime. The Japanese automaker has applied the lessons learned from its Prius hybrid to its entry in the far trendier compact-SUV class.

Based on the regular nonhybrid RAV4 reviewed separately , the RAV4 Hybrid and Prime offer similar practicality and features with much better fuel efficiency and, in the case of the Prime, respectable electric-only driving range.

These electrified Toyotas aren't alone in the segment—hybrid versions of the Honda CR-V , the Ford Escape , and the Mitsubishi Outlander are also available—but they are well-equipped to compete for your hard-earned dollar.

With a refined chassis, strong turbocharged engines, and a comfortable cabin, the Porsche Macan is a dual-purpose package unlike any other vehicle on the road today. It's equally at home tearing it up at a track day as it is running Sunday errands. Performance is impressive , and the Macan's suspension is poise personified: taut while cornering but not so firm that it sacrifices ride comfort on the work commute.

It's this flexibility that earned the Macan a place on our 10Best list. All-wheel drive is standard, and buyers can pick from one of three turbocharged engines. Some auto enthusiasts may kvetch about the infiltration of SUVs —and we're guilty of similar complaints—but with the Macan, there are so few compromises that it deserves respect from even the most ardent SUV detractors.

The Porsche Macan Turbo is the single best driving crossover on the planet. That's not hyperbole, it's truth. Despite a higher center of gravity and heftier curb weight than the Porsche Boxster and Cayman the compact luxury SUV is almost as enthralling. Porsche's love of optional packages means you can tailor the Macan GTS in ways that few other automakers can match. Available in long-roof and "coupe" body styles, the Cayenne GTS is all about driving purity, and it shows.

Its hp, 4. Throw in some add-ons like all-wheel steering and active anti-roll bars, and you've basically got a sports car on stilts, albeit mild ones, since the Cayenne GTS sits pretty low to the ground.

But you might be having too much fun in the corners to even notice that stuff. Read our Porsche Cayenne preview. If you want to take the entire family to a speed that might let you escape low Earth orbit, the GLS63 is happy to oblige. Its 4. But comfort remains a top priority, and its ride quality is smooth enough to make the miles melt away on a longer road trip. Mercedes always puts luxury at the forefront, and the GLS63 is no exception.

Its interior is one of my favorites, with a simple layout that relies on lots of soft leather and warm wood-trim complements. All three rows are comfortable, but the front buckets get the most love with options like massaging ventilated seats and enough storage space for most, but probably not all of your Birkins.

Our review of the Toyota Highlander Hybrid refers to it as "astonishingly efficient," and it's true. Toyota knows hybrids, and it shows. Its 2. The Highlander is very much a utilitarian choice, but Toyota's latest variant brings some style into the equation, too, with a clever dashboard layout that both looks futuristic and offers up some unique storage spaces for driver and passengers alike.

Sure, the third row is a little small, but if you only ever transport pets or kids back there, it's more than enough. Safety systems abound, too, with adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition and lane-keeping assist all coming standard. The Ford Mustang Mach-E might lean heavy on marketing, but underneath the badges and Mustang-reminiscent taillights is a competent, capable electric crossover.

It offers a variety of outputs with either two or four driven wheels, depending on trim, which means folks can opt for sportier versions or something more sedate. Range varies based on trim, as well, but Mach-E variants can offer up to an EPA-estimated miles of range, which should more than suit the commute for most folks. The Mach-E's style is like no other, both inside and out. An uncluttered dashboard with fabric trim leaves the interior feeling both premium and spacious, while a If this is a preview of things to come from Ford's future electrified vehicles, consider us excited.

Read our Ford Mustang Mach-E preview. Land Rover has a long history of making SUVs that offer solid on-road comportment with off-road chops that are very hard to beat, and its latest entry exemplifies that mantra. Its design is equal parts vintage and modern, turning the slab-sided Defenders of yore into slightly softer, yet still aggressive SUVs. Available in two- and four-door configurations, this unibody utility vehicle can traverse all sorts of terrains, with the larger variant offering The base engine, a 2.

Read our Land Rover Defender review. Sure, the Defender can be kitted out to send its price tag to the stratosphere, but if you want something truly over the top, it's hard to beat a slab of German metal with roots in the military.

It's positively huge, and thanks to major revisions for , it's actually pretty comfortable to drive for long stretches of time.

In traditional Mercedes fashion, you can throw some obscenely colored leather all over the interior while slathering the outside in matte paint, yet all the peacocking in the world won't stop this thing from looking like a purpose-built tool. And speaking of purpose, its capability is hard to top. The G can crawl its way up a degree incline and wade through more than 2 feet of standing water.

If you want to do all that while trying to break the sound barrier, there's an AMG version that will do precisely that.
